D-ELL

The Discover, Explore, Learn, Lead (D-ELL) model is an informal learning and mentoring framework recognized internationally by IEEE. Developed and prototyped by Linda Whipker and Rob Mackie between 2014 and 2018, D-ELL serves as the cornerstone of The Forge Initiative’s efforts to foster personal development and growth across all age groups. This model encourages individuals of all ages to engage in a continuous cycle of discovery, exploration, learning, and leadership, promoting lifelong learning and mentorship in a supportive community.
